The summer season is wrapping up in a flurry at the downtown visitors sites. Ship traffic is decreasing and many of Travel Juneau’s snowbird volunteers are headed south.
Lindsey, Heather and I have been filling in more shifts as needed at the visitor sites in this last stretch. Due to decreased traffic and volunteers this time of year, we will be closing the main site by the Cruise Ship Terminal the 16th, 17th, 23rd and 24th of this month.
The Kiosk will remain open all days through the end of September and both sites will be closed for the season after the 30th. The airport information kiosk will remain open and staffed for the winter.
We celebrated their hard work last week on the Coral Princess and passed along generous donations from:
- Baranof Wilderness Lodge
- Barnacle Foods
- Cycle Alaska
- Eaglecrest Ski Area
- Juneau Food Tours
- Juneau Jazz & Classics
- Mark Kelley Photography
- NorthStar Trekking
Thank you to all of you who contributed this year as well as Kirby Day and the Coral Princess crew for making the event possible.
All the best for the end of your season!
