Although the tour season is done, your Travel Juneau team is still working to make this organization as relevant to your business and the community as possible. If you have a passion for Juneau’s visitor industry and want to be part of our work, we have two great opportunities.
First, please consider running for Travel Juneau’s Board of Directors, which is responsible for general oversight of the organization. The election for four board seats will take place in November. Kevin has sent an announcement email to all members and you’ll receive more information on the election process in the coming weeks. If you’re interested in running or have questions, please contact Craig Jennison, the Nominations Committee chair.
Second, the Membership & Community Relations Committee needs your input – we want your perspective of Travel Juneau and its mission, and the value you get (or would like to get) from our destination marketing and outreach. If you are interested in participating in a focus group to give feedback on our most valuable services and areas where we could be providing more value to you, please email Kevin indicating your interest. Time and date are yet to be determined, so we will follow up with interested members once those are confirmed. We also want input from non-members, so we’d appreciate your extending the invitation to other Juneau-based businesses that have a stake in the visitor industry and referring them to contact us
